Contest Submission Legal Terms & Conditions

 

GAFY retains exclusive rights to the submitted information and material including, but not limited to, rights to the submission for use on its website and any promotional material.

 

All submissions must be the participant's own original work and may not have been previously published.  They may not contain the trademarks, logos, copyrighted works, or intellectual property of any third parties, nor any material which GAFY.com in its sole discretion deems to be illegal or in violation of applicable laws. 

 

YOU AGREE THAT GAFY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU, OR ANY THIRD-PARTY CLAIMING THROUGH YOU, FOR, AND YOU INDEMNIFY AND HOLD GAFY HARMLESS OF, FROM AND AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY, LOSS, DAMAGE, COST AND/OR ATTORNEY'S FEES INCURRED BY ANY PARTY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, GAFY OR THE SUBMITTER AS A RESULT OF YOUR DISPLAY, COPYING, UPLOADING OR DOWNLOADING INFORMATION OR MATERIAL CONTAINED ON THIS SITE OR YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN ANY WAY.

 

THE FOREGOING RELEASE, INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS PRECLUDES ANY LIABILITY BY GAFY TO YOU OR ANY THIRD-PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, EXTRAORDINARY, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS OR OTHER ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE) HOWEVER ARISING, WHETHER FOR BREACH OR IN TORT EVEN IF GAFY HAS PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH POSSIBLE DAMAGE.

 

IN THE EVENT THE FOREGOING IS HELD UNENFORCEABLE IN ANY WAY, YOU AGREE THAT ANY LIABILITY THAT GAFY MAY HAVE OR MAY BE ADJUDICATED TO HAVE SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE RETURN OF ANY FEES PAID TO GAFY BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THE REGISTRATION OF A CONTESTANT OR THE USE OF THIS SITE.

 

No purchase necessary.  A purchase will not increase your chances to win.  Void where prohibited by law.  Any disputes arising under the terms and conditions of this contest will be governed by the law of the State of Illinois, U.S.A.

 

All contestants MUST be age 18 or over as of the date of submission.  Your submission to us is your confirmation that you are at least 18 years old.  DO NOT SUBMIT IF YOU CANNOT CONFIRM YOU ARE 18 or your entry will be rejected and, if necessary, reported to authorities.  Reported data may comprise all information gathered from your submission including, but not limited to, the IP address used.

 

The decisions of GAFY are final and binding.
 

All entries must be submitted online and must conform to generally accepted standard format.  All entries must be posted and available for use as PDF, Microsoft Word, JPEG, or GIF documents.  No copyright infringement is acceptable.  All work must be released for individual usage or purpose usage grants, and all entries must contain copyright-free art or art released for entrant's and public use.  No unauthorized use of any copyrighted images, text, or other material will be accepted.

 

For all shirts won, if the winner chooses any shirt over $20, the winner is responsible for paying the difference.  For instance, if the winner wins three shirts, and the chosen shirts are priced at $18, $20, and $28, there is no additional cost (nor credit) for the first two;  however, the winner is required to pay an additional $8 to cover the difference on the third shirt.

 

The winner is responsible for all shipping costs and taxes, if applicable.

 

Submitting a picture, image, design, story, or any other submission gives GAFY unlimited permissions and full use rights, to use it on this site, for marketing purposes, or any other purpose we see fit.  By entering the Contest, you expressly agree not to submit an image or content which is unlawful, libelous, slanderous, defamatory, or invasive of another person's right of privacy or right of publicity.

 

Winners will only be notified by email, so be sure to fill out all information correctly during the submission process.

 

GAFY cannot be responsible for entries not received due to technical issues, and accepts no responsibility for technical support of any entries.  GAFY reserves the sole right to determine eligibility and to adjust contest rules if necessary based on volume of entries or legal requirements.  All prizes will be awarded. Contest participants are responsible for checking this site for changes.

 

Entries will be accepted beginning at 12:00 am CST (GMT-06:00) on the 1st day of the specific month and ending at 11:59 pm CST on the final day of the specific month.  Prizes will be awarded within 30 days of judging.  If a prize remains unclaimed for 60 days, the prize will be forfeited.  All entries will be judged according to the month in which they are received.  Entries must be received by 11:59 CST on the last calendar day of the month to be eligible for that month's awards.

 

Photo Submission Contest

 

Every month, GAFY will award the most creative photo submission with three (3) free shirts.  The winner will not only get the intense satisfaction that comes with being celebrated as the best Picture of the Month, but will also get to choose from all of GAFY's designs.  So get those creative juices flowing and break out that digital camera!

THE RULES

1. The best photo submitted each month gets three (3) free shirts of choice.  (Click HERE for additional information.)

2. The GAFY shirt must be visible and readable for the photo to qualify for the contest.  The shirt does not have to be worn;  however, it must be very prominent within the photo.

3. You get "points" for creativity.  Some suggested themes when planning your photo for submission:  funny, crazy, outrageous, unique, shocking, extreme, sexy, naughty, action shots, any combination of themes, etc.

4. All photos must be original, and only submitted for the first time (no repeat submissions allowed).

5. A maximum of 10 photos per entrant are allowed per month, so pick your best for your submission(s).

6. All photos must be large enough, and of a high enough resolution to be viewed.  It is suggested to submit photos as large as possible, with a minimum of 72 dpi.  Photos over 1MB in size will not be accepted.  Please use any readily available image editing software to reduce your photo's size.  If the photo is too small to see, it will not qualify for the contest.

7. Submit your photo via our PHOTO SUBMISSION PAGE.

8. Submitting a photo gives GAFY unlimited permissions and full use rights, to use it on this site, for marketing purposes, or any other purpose we see fit.

Hook-Up Story Contest

 

"This one time, at band camp, I was wearing a GAFY shirt and..."

 

You get the idea!  Submit the best Hook-Up story that includes any mention of a GAFY shirt and you will be entered to win our monthly Hook-Up Story Contest!  The winner will be awarded one (1) free GAFY shirt.  (Click HERE for additional information.)

THE RULES

1. The best hook-up story submitted each month gets one free shirt of choice.  (Click HERE for additional information.)

2. Submit the best, most original, funny, ridiculous, hot “I hooked-up because of my GAFY shirt” story.

3. The story must include some mention of a GAFY shirt, and must be limited to 2,000 characters.

4. The story should be true.  (GAFY has no way of authenticating any story, but our panel of judges do have an incredible nose for BS.)  Stories not ringing true will be disqualified.

5. The best story is determined by the GAFY panel of judges and all decisions are final.

6. Submit your Hook-Up Story via our Contact Us page.  Be sure to select "Hook-Up Story Contest" from the drop-down menu.

7. Submitting a story gives GAFY unlimited permissions and full use rights, to use it on this site, for marketing purposes, or any other purpose we see fit.

8. The selected story may be reworked by professional writers to prepare it for use.  This usually results in small word and grammatical changes or additions.

Shirt Redesign Contest

 

Think you could have done better with one of our shirt designs?  Well here is your chance to prove it!

 

GAFY will award three (3) free shirts of choice to anyone who submits a redesign of an existing GAFY design, if GAFY uses the new submission on its website.  So show us your artistic skills and creativity by submitting a great new redesign!

THE RULES

1. If your design is used to replace a current GAFY product, you will win three (3) free shirts of choice.  (Click HERE for additional information.)

2. The design must be a redesign of an existing GAFY product. 

3. There are no limitations on what you can do with your design, or how you think ours can be improved.  Add a background, change the image completely, tweak the saying, make it more fashionable, change the font, etc.  The power is in your hands.  If we use it, you win!

4. The design must be the participant's own original work and may not have been previously published.  Your submission is considered your guarantee and indemnification agreement to GAFY that it contains no trademarks, logos, copyrighted works or intellectual property of any third parties.  See Contest Submission Legal Terms & Conditions for additional information.

5. Designs should be completed in a program such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or the like.  When submitting a design, it is preferred that you send it in JPEG format.  Submitted images should be as large as possible, at a minimum of 72 dpi.  Files over 1MB will not be accepted.

6. The participant should save the original formatted design.  If your redesign is chosen, GAFY will require the original format of the design.  The original format should be designed at 300 dpi with colors kept separated.

7. Designs can be no larger than 12" x 16" (Width x Height).

8. Designs should be all original art;  however, if you are not an artist but have a great idea, feel free to submit a photograph, sketch, etc.  If your idea is good enough, it still might win!

9. Submit the image of your redesign via our REDESIGN SUBMISSION PAGE.

10. Submitting a design gives GAFY unlimited permissions and full use rights, to use it on this site, for marketing purposes, or any other purpose we see fit.

11. The selected submissions may be reworked by GAFY to prepare it for use.  This usually results in small word or grammatical changes or additions, and minor modifications to artwork.
